Our team is headed up by Shaun Ward, DD, Denture Specialist. Shaun started out as a Dental Technician (1982). He has long since been a licensed Denturist with the College of Alberta Denturists. Shaun is very passionate about his work. No challenge is too big to tackle.
Our clinic is devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile. In using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures, we aim to establish beautiful, long lasting results!
Shaun Ward, DD
Shaun was born in 1958 in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. He moved to Canada in 1982 with his parents and siblings and never looked back. He is a family man and has lived in Sherwood Park for 25 plus years. Once in Canada Shaun decided to follow in his fathers footsteps, who was also a Denturist and Instructor ,at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Shaun started out as Dental Technician in 1982 making dentures and orthodontic appliances. He has long since been a licensed Denturist with the College of Alberta Denturists since 1991 and a member of the Denturist Association of Alberta. Shaun is very passionate about his work. Every year he is always upgrading his skills and learning new and innovative ways to provide state of the art solutions to his patients needs. Shaun also has a love for his community, animals and sweets.
Darrell Cruz, DD
Hello my name is Darrell Cruz I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta which means I am loyal to the Oil, but growing up my favorite player was Stevie Y.
After graduating from the NAIT Dental Lab Technology program I started my working career with Shaun as a RDT. Working in a Denture Clinic I was fortunate to see both the lab and the clinic side, and after working a few years I realized I enjoyed the clinic side much more. I returned to NAIT and completed the Denturist Technology program. Today I work alongside Shaun as an an Associate and enjoying it more than ever. Throughout the year I attend study clubs and frequent lectures to keep current with new and different techniques, I am also a member in good standing with the College of Alberta Denturists Association. My philosophy is to treat everyone that walks in through those doors the same way I treated my grandmother.
Outside of work I enjoy playing and watching different types of sports especially hockey and snowboarding, walks in the river valley with my fiance and our 8 year old pup, and binge watching tv in the winter.
Lisa Kozak, Office Manager
Lisa was born and raised in Edmonton. She graduated from Grant MacEwan College, and there has been no stopping her since. With being the Office Manager for all locations, Lisa is actively engaged in keeping pace with new challenges and innovations in this field. Lisa is always there to help her staff and patients. She is a mother, grandmother, and loves family time. She is very active in her families sports teams. She’s a animal lover of two very sweet dogs.
Janice Yausie, Office Receptionist Extraordinaire
Janice started her employment at Synergy Dentures in May 2013. Janice is a Nait graduate from the Business Administration Program in Marketing. She has worked in many different industries over the years from 1993 to present. She was actively involved with her children and their sports. She returned to work fulltime in 2013. She enjoys working with people in assisting them to achieve their goals. Janice is a lover of animals, Edmonton Oilers and gourmet food.
